Career Discovery Program: Start your vocational journey with us

Frederick University invites young people aged 15-18 to join its Career Discovery Program and embark on a unique journey of self-discovery and career exploration. In this dynamic program, participants will explore their interests, skills and aspirations and choose their future studies.

The program is supported by the Pancyprian Association of Parents of Secondary Education.

Who is it for?
The Career Discovery Program is designed for secondary school pupils, as well as recent graduates who:
• Have specific interests in a field or program study, or
• Are considering various study programs and are unsure of the right career path for them
Parents are also welcome to attend a workshop on supporting their children's transition from school to university.

When will it take place?
The Career Discovery Program will take place on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at the Limassol Campus and on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at the Nicosia Campus, from 10:00am to 2:00pm.
Participants are kindly requested to arrive for registration at 9:30am.

What does the Career Discovery Program entail?
Participants will be asked to select one of the following Groups:
• Group A is tailored for students who have already chosen their career path and seek to deepen their understanding of the professions that intrigue them. This path comprises two interactive and experiential workshops for each student, selected from a diverse list of more than 20 workshops offered in total. These workshops are tailored to their specific career choice. Participants will have the opportunity to pose questions, explore the prospects of each profession, and engage with the University's academic and research staff.

• Group B
is tailored for students who have not yet decided on a specific professional field. This path consists of three hands-on workshops aimed at equipping them with essential tools for exploring and discovering career options that best align with their personality, interests, and skills.

At the end of the program a participation certificate will be awarded.

Participants will also have the opportunity to take the University's Career Gate Test, which will help them identify suitable professions based on their personality, interests and preferences within just 30 minutes.
All workshops and presentations will be conducted in Greek.

Is it free?
Yes, the program is free and includes snacks, light lunch, as well as a goody bag with surprises!
