Maria Kagiavi is a teacher, certified adult educator and professor at the Hellenic Open University.
Master of Postgraduate Diploma of Specialization of the Hellenic Republic and PhD student in Adult Education, aiming at Multidimensional and Transforming Learning through the aesthetic experience.
She participated in the Grundtvig European Grundtvig Group and as a teacher in the "Transforming Learning through Art" program, for which she wrote educational material.
Her research interests concern the use of art as a teaching tool and a factor in the development of critical thinking and transformation in adult learners.
