Dr. Christiana Karayianni

Short CV

Christiana Karayianni holds a PhD in Media & Cultural Studies, University of Sussex, UK (2011). She pursued her BA (Hons) in Graphic Design from the University of the West of England and continued her education in London at the University of the Arts, London College of Communication, from where she received an MA with a specialisation in Interactive Media. Since 2005, she teaches media, journalism and art-related courses in the Department of Journalism, Communication and Media at Frederick University in Cyprus. Christiana is a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Human Rights and Constitutional Studies. She is a regular reviewer in international academic journals, as an expert in the field of Media and Cultural Studies in Cyprus. Her research interests and publications focus on the use and impact of media and communication in societies with conflict.
