Dr Konstantinos Tatas received his degree and Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Democritus University of Thrace, Greece in 1999 and 2005, respectively. He has been employed as a digital IC designer by INTRACOM SA between 2000 and 2002. He is currently an Associate Professor with the faculty of the Electrical and Computer Engineering and Informatics, School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Frederick University, Cyprus where he teaches undergraduate as well as graduate courses in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering including Distance Learning courses. He is also a Senior Researcher at Frederick Research Center, Cyprus. His research interests are in the area of computer architecture, including Network-on-Chip Architectures, Heterogeneous Computing and embedded system design for IoT devices. His total published work includes a textbook, two book chapters and over sixty peer-reviewed journal and conference publications. Recognition for his work includes more than 450 citations with h-index: 12 and i10-index: 18 (source: Google Scholar). He has also participated in a number of Cyprus Research and Innovation Foundation, Greek General Secretariat of Research and Technology and European IST-funded projects.
