Symeon Nikolaou (PhD) received the BEng in 2003 from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and the MSECE (2005) and Ph.D. (2007) degrees from the Georgia Institute of Technology (GaTech), in Atlanta, GA, USA, all in Electrical and Computer Engineering. He is a member of the teaching and research staff of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering and Informatics teaching in the undergraduate and postgraduate programs, since 2007 and he is currently a Professor. Dr. Nikolaou is leading the Antennas and Microwaves research group and his research interests span: reconfigurable antennas, RFIDs, green sensors, energy harvesting, reconfigurable filters, and additive manufacturing for electromagnetic applications. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, a member of the Technical Chamber of Cyprus and has been a Cyprus' delegate in the management committee of several COST Actions related to Antennas and Sensors. Dr Nikolaou has authored or co-authored more than 120 papers in journals and peer reviewed conferences. Currently he serves as Associate Editor for IET Microwaves Antennas and Propagation (IET MAP) and for the International Journal of Antennas and Propagation (IJAP). He also serves regularly as TPC member for EuCAP, IEEE AP-S and MOCAST international conferences.
