Ο Μαϊμάρης Γιάννης διδάσκει το εργαστηριακό κομμάτι του μαθήματος της Γενικής Βιολογίας στο Τμήμα Φαρμακευτικής και του μαθήματος της Κυτταρικής Bιολογίας και Γενετικής, στο Τμήμα Νοσηλευτικής του Πανεπιστημίου Frederick. Είναι πτυχιούχος Βιολόγος, απόφοιτος του Τμήματος Βιολογίας, του Εθνικού και Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών, από το 2008. Συνέχισε τις σπουδές του σε Μεταπτυχιακό επίπεδο στο Τμήμα Βιολογικών Επιστημών, στο Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου, από όπου και αποφοίτησε με επιτυχία με τον τίτλο Μάστερ στην Πειραματική Μοριακή Βιολογία την περίοδο 2011-2013. Τον Ιανουάριο του 2013 έγινε δεκτός στο Μεταπτυχιακό πρόγραμμα Διδακτορικού επιπέδου στις Βιοϊατρικές Επιστήμες, του Τμήματος Βιολογικών Επιστημών, του Πανεπιστημίου Κύπρου και συνεχίζει την ερευνητική του δραστηριότητα στην Μοριακή και Κυτταρική Βιολογία. Έχει αποκτήσει εργαστηριακή εμπειρία τόσο σε ερευνητικό επίπεδο σε εργαστήρια Βιοχημείας και Μοριακής Κυτταρικής Βιολογίας, όσο και σε διαγνωστικό επίπεδο σε εργαστήρια Αιματολογικού, Βιοχημικού και Ορμονολογικού διαγνωστικού ελέγχου. Η ερευνητική του εργασία κατά τη διάρκεια των Μεταπτυχιακών του σπουδών, δημοσιεύτηκε στο επιστημονικό περιοδικό Cellular and Molecular Life Sciences με τίτλο The nucleotide binding proteins Nubp1 and Nubp2 are negative regulators of ciliogenesis, ενώ το Τμήμα Βιολογικών Επιστημών του Πανεπιστημίου Κύπρου τον βράβευσε με τον τίτλο του καλύτερου Μεταπτυχιακού Φοιτητή το 2013.

Maimaris Giannis teaches the laboratory part of the course General Biology, for the Department of Pharmacy and the laboratory part of the course Cellular Biology and Genetics, for the Department of Nursing, at the Frederick University. He has graduated from the Department of Biology, at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, in 2008. He continued his studies at the postgraduate level in the Department of Biological Sciences, at the University of Cyprus graduating with the Master degree in Experimental Molecular Biology 2011-2013. Subsequently in January 2013 he was admitted to the PhD program in Biomedical Sciences, of the Department of Biological Sciences, at the University of Cyprus and continues his research in Molecular and Cellular Biology. He has gained experience both in, research level working in Biochemical and Molecular Cell Biology laboratories, and diagnostic level in hematological, biochemical and hormonal diagnostic technics. His research work during his postgraduate studies, was published in the journal Cellular and Molecular Life Sciences titled The nucleotide binding proteins Nubp1 and Nubp2 are negative regulators of ciliogenesis, while the Department of Biological Sciences, at the University of Cyprus awarded him with the title of the best Masters student in ‘Experimental Molecular Biology in 2013.
