Accreditation

  • All programs of study are recognized by the Cyprus Agency of Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education (CYQAA), the official body for assessing programs offered by Universities in Cyprus. All engineering programs are also fully recognized by the Scientific and Technical Chamber of Cyprus (ETEK), and degree holders are eligible for registration in the Chamber's registry. The five-year Integrated Master in Architectural Engineering is additionally recognized by the European Union under Article 21(7) of European Directive 2005/36/EC regarding the required skills of architects. This means that graduates can practice the profession in any EU country.

    Frederick University was recognized, for the third consecutive year, as the top university in Cyprus in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings. It is the only university in Cyprus ranked among the top 301–400 universities worldwide, a distinction that highlights its strong global impact through research, teaching, social contribution, and its overall strategy.

    In this year’s THE Impact Rankings 2025, which evaluated 2,526 institutions from 130 countries and regions, Frederick University secured the first position in Cyprus. This significant recognition reflects the University’s ongoing commitment to addressing global challenges and contributing to a more sustainable and equitable future through its academic and institutional actions.

    The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings is the only global university ranking system that measures institutions’ progress toward achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
