Ms. Ioanna Christodoulou

Short CV

Ioanna Christodoulou earned her MA in Communication Studies, specializing in Media, Journalism, and Crises. Her thesis explored "Youth Political Participation and Increasing Abstention in Cyprus." From 2000 to 2022, she gained extensive experience in the media industry, working across major media outlets in Cyprus, including newspapers, magazines, radio, television, and online platforms. Since 2016, she has been employed as a lecturer at the School of Arts, Communication & Cultural Studies at Frederick University, specializing in Journalism. Ioanna actively contributes as a member of the research team at the Institute of Communication and Social Research (IEKE) of Frederick University. Additionally, she is a member of the Union of Cyprus Journalists and participates as an observer, contributing insights without holding voting rights, in council meetings. Starting in April 2022, she has been employed at the Communications department of the biobank.cy Center of Excellence at the University of Cyprus.

Η Ιωάννα Χριστοδούλου είναι κάτοχος μεταπτυχιακού διπλώματος στην Επικοινωνία και τη Δημοσιογραφία (Διατριβή: “Η πολιτική συμμετοχή των νέων και η αυξανόμενη αποχή στην Κύπρο”). Εργάστηκε ως δημοσιογράφος από το 2000 έως και το 2022.Το 2016 εργοδοτήθηκε παράλληλα ως Ειδικό Διδακτικό Προσωπικό στο Τμήμα Δημοσιογραφίας, Επικοινωνίας και ΜΜΕ του Πανεπιστημίου Frederick (Σχολή Τεχνών, Επικοινωνίας και Πολιτισμικών Σπουδών), όπου και διδάσκει Δημοσιογραφία. Τα τελευταία δύο χρόνια εργοδοτείται σε Κέντρο Αριστείας όπου και εργάζεται στο Τμήμα Επικοινωνίας. Είναι μέλος της ερευνητικής ομάδας του Ινστιτούτου Επικοινωνιακών και Κοινωνικών Ερευνών (ΙΕΚΕ) του Πανεπιστημίου Frederick και μέλος της Ένωσης Συντακτών Κύπρου. Από τον Απρίλιο του 2022, εργάζεται στο τμήμα επικοινωνίας του Κέντρου Αριστείας biobank.cy στο Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου.
