Dr. Nikos Keravnos

Dr. Nicos Keravnos completed his undergraduate studies at the Pedagogical Department of Primary Education at the University of Ioannina, where he earned his BA. He subsequently pursued postgraduate studies, first at the University of Birmingham, where he obtained a Master's degree (Med Mathematics and Science), and later at Frederick University, where he earned a doctorate in Education (PhD) in the field of Educational Leadership. As a Collaborating Academic Staff member at Frederick University, he taught the subject DLEDA 051 ‘Educational Leadership Theories’ during the academic year 2018-2019, and from 2019 to the present, he has been teaching the subject DLEDAN057 ‘Educational Policy and Educational Change’ as part of the Med in Educational Management (Long Distance) program. Regarding his professional experience, he currently serves as a Deputy Head Teacher in Primary Education. He has also participated in and coordinated numerous programs of the Ministry of Education, Sports, and Youth. His research interests lie primarily in the scientific field of Educational Leadership, with a particular focus on leadership theories, effective leadership, trust in leadership, and issues related to educational policy and change within school units. He has presented at both local and international conferences and has authored several publications in relevant scientific journals, both locally and internationally.

Ο Δρ. Νίκος Κεραυνός ολοκλήρωσε τις βασικές του σπουδές στο Παιδαγωγικό Τμήμα Δημοτικής Εκπαίδευσης του Πανεπιστημίου Ιωαννίνων, όπου πήρε το βασικό πτυχίο του. Στη συνέχεια ακολούθησε μεταπτυχιακές σπουδές, αρχικά στο Πανεπιστήμιο του Birmingham όπου έλαβε μεταπτυχιακό δίπλωμα (Med Mathematics and Science) και στη συνέχεια στο Πανεπιστήμιο Frederick, από το οποίο αποφοίτησε με διδακτορικό στην Εκπαίδευση (PhD) στον τομέα της Εκπαιδευτικής Ηγεσίας. Ως Συνεργαζόμενο Εκπαιδευτικό Προσωπικό στο Πανεπιστήμιο Frederick, έχει διδάξει το μάθημα DLEDA 051 ‘Θεωρίες Εκπαιδευτικής Ηγεσίας' κατά το ακαδημαϊκό έτος 2018-2019 και από το 2019 έως σήμερα διδάσκει το μάθημα DLEDAN057 «Εκπαιδευτική Πολιτική και Εκπαιδευτική Αλλαγή» στο πλαίσιο του MA in Educational Administration (Μεταπτυχιακό στη Διοίκηση Σχολικών Μονάδων). Σχετικά με την επαγγελματική του εμπειρία, σήμερα είναι Βοηθός Διευθυντής στην Πρωτοβάθμια Εκπαίδευση. Επίσης, έχει συμμετάσχει και συντονίσει πολλά προγράμματα του Υπουργείου Παιδείας, Αθλητισμού και Νεολαίας. Τα γενικά ερευνητικά του ενδιαφέροντα εστιάζονται στο επιστημονικό πεδίο της Εκπαιδευτικής Ηγεσίας και το ιδιαίτερο ενδιαφέρον του επικεντρώνεται κυρίως στις θεωρίες ηγεσίας, στην αποτελεσματική ηγεσία, στην εμπιστοσύνη στην ηγεσία και σε θέματα εκπαιδευτικής πολιτικής και αλλαγής στη σχολική μονάδα. Έχει παρουσιάσει σε τοπικά και διεθνή συνέδρια και έχει αρκετές δημοσιεύσεις σε τοπικά και διεθνή σχετικά επιστημονικά περιοδικά.
