Ο Ευάγγελος Στ. Μπεμπέτσος είναι απόφοιτος του University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee των Ηνωμένων Πολιτείων. Συνέχισε τις μεταπτυχιακές του σπουδές στο University of Illinois at Chicago (Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες) και ολοκλήρωσε τις σπουδές του ως διδάκτορας του Τμήματος Επιστήμης Φυσικής Αγωγής & Αθλητισμού, του Δ.Π.Θ., στην Κομοτηνή, όπου και κατέχει τη θέση του Καθηγητή. Τα ερευνητικά του ενδιαφέροντα αφορούν κυρίως στην πρόβλεψη της συμπεριφοράς, τη βία και την επιθετικότητα, την ομοφοβία στον Ελληνικό αθλητισμό, όπως και τις ψυχολογικές διαστάσεις του αγωνιστικού αθλητισμού. Έχει πληθώρα δημοσιευμένων εργασιών τόσο σε ελληνικά, όσο και διεθνή περιοδικά στον τομέα της Ψυχολογίας της Άσκησης και του Αθλητισμού, όπως: Perceptual & Motor Skills, Psychological Reports, Changing Societies and Personalities, Polish Psychological Bulletin, International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health, Acta Gymnica και Archives of Hellenic Medicine. Είναι, επίσης, μέλος πολλών Ελληνικών και διεθνών Επιστημονικών Επιτροπών.

Dr. Evangelos St. Bebetsos is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in the United States. He continued his postgraduate studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago (United States) and completed his Ph.D. studies within the Department of Physical Education & Sports Science, Democritus University of Thrace, in Komotini, where he holds the position of Professor. His research interests mainly concern the prediction of behavior, violence and aggression, homophobia in Greek sports, as well as the psychological dimensions of competitive sports. He has published extensively in both Greek and international journals in the field of Exercise and Sports Psychology, such as: Perceptual & Motor Skills, Psychological Reports, Changing Societies and Personalities, Polish Psychological Bulletin, International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health, Acta Gymnica and Archives of Hellenic Medicine. He is also a member of many Greek and International Scientific Committees.
