Manos Pavlakis teaches Human Resource Development and Decision Making in the MA ‘Education Administration’ and Educational Methodology and Adult Learning Theories in the MA ‘Adult Education’ at Frederick University. Previously, he has taught similar courses at the Hellenic Open University, the National University of Athens, the European University of Cyprus, the Open University of Cyprus. For 15 years Manos has worked as an adult trainer and HR consultant for enterprises in the public, private, and the third sector and has contributed to the design of innovative educational programs on issues of Adult Education, Human Resource Development, Coaching, Group Dynamics, Communication and Collaboration for organizations, such as the National Centre of Public Administration, the Institute of Educational Policy, the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises, and others. He was the Learning Manager and the creator of the training material for the Youreca program, which received Unesco's Quality and Excellence Award (15 projects awarded among a total of 1,532 worldwide), and has been recognized for his social action, receiving the 2013 European Citizen Prize by the European Parliament, as the President of NGO Youthnet Hellas. His research interests include the concepts of transforming learning, teaching methodology, and learning organizations. He holds degrees in Greek Literature (National University of Athens) and European Culture (Hellenic Open University), postgraduate degrees in Human Resource Management (Leeds University Business School) and Political Sciences (University of Crete), and a Doctorate in Adult Education (Hellenic Open University), while his postdoc research (Stockholm University) was focused on work-based learning and vocational training.
