Η Νικολέττα Ιωάννου είναι κάτοχος Μεταπτυχιακού τίτλου σπουδών στην Εκπαιδευτική Διοίκηση (Πανεπιστήμιο Bath, 2003) και στη Συνεχιζόμενη Εκπαίδευση (Ανοικτό Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου, 2008) και Διδακτορικού τίτλου σπουδών του Πανεπιστημίου Nottingham (2017), με διδακτορική διατριβή στην Επαγγελματική Ανάπτυξη και την Επαγγελματοποίηση του Εκπαιδευτή Ενηλίκων. Συμμετέχει στον συντονισμό και την υλοποίηση ευρωπαϊκών έργων που χρηματοδοτούνται από το Πρόγραμμα Erasmus+, το Ευρωπαϊκό Κοινωνικό Ταμείο (ΕΚΤ) και το Τεχνικό Μέσο Υποστήριξης (TSI) της ΕΕ σχετικών με την Εκπαίδευση Ενηλίκων και τη Διά Βίου Μάθηση. Από το 2018 εργάζεται ως συνεργαζόμενο ακαδημαϊκό προσωπικό στο Πανεπιστήμιο Frederick της Σχολής Επιστημών της Αγωγής και Κοινωνικών Επιστημών, στο Εξ Αποστάσεως Μεταπτυχιακό Πρόγραμμα επιπέδου Μάστερ της Εκπαίδευσης Ενηλίκων. Η έρευνά της επικεντρώνεται σε θέματα επαγγελματικής ανάπτυξης των εκπαιδευτών ενηλίκων και ευρωπαϊκών πολιτικών της διά βίου μάθησης και της εκπαίδευσης ενηλίκων.

Nicoletta Ioannou completed her graduate studies at the University of Bath (MA in Educational Management, 2003) and the Open University of Cyprus (MA in Continuing Education, 2008). She holds a Ph.D. in Adult Education by the University of Nottingham and her thesis is titled “Professional Development and Professionalization of Adult Education in Cyprus: Views and Perceptions of Adult Educators”. She coordinates and implements European projects financed by the Erasmus+ Program, the European Social Fund (ESF) and the Technical Support Instrument (TSI) related to Adult Education and Lifelong Learning. Since 2018, she has taken on teaching responsibilities as a collaborative academic staff member at Frederick University in the MEd in Adult Education (DL) program within the Department of Education, School of Education and Social Sciences. Her current research interests primarily focus on the professional development of adult educators and European policies regarding lifelong learning and adult education.
