Dr. Stefanos Plexousakis

Dr Stefanos Plexousakis is a clinical Psychologist Lecturer (member of the Hellenic Psychological Association) and Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist (Member of the Greek Winnicott Psychoanalytic Space) and Researcher. He studied psychology in the University of Crete and after that he completed his postgraduate studies in the University of Greenwich, London in the field of Counselling and Psychotherapy (Dipl., MSc, BACP ACCREDITED). He worked in different contexts of the British National Health System for a period of eight years. He teaches in programs for special education and at Frederick University as a collaborating academic staff, teaching in the MEd Special Education program of study. Furthermore, he has private practice working with children with emotional-behavioral problems, complex trauma as well as developmental disorders. Also, adults with anxiety, depression and trauma. He completed his PhD thesis on Trauma from Bullying experiences in the University of Crete. He has published articles in scientific journals on Trauma, Bullying, developmental disorders also in the field of Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Ο Στέφανος Πλεξουσάκης (PhD) είναι Κλινικός Ψυχολόγος, Ψυχαναλυτικός Ψυχοθεραπευτής και ερευνητής. Σπούδασε ψυχολογία στο Πανεπιστήμιο Κρήτης και στη συνέχεια ολοκλήρωσε τις μεταπτυχιακές του σπουδές στην Συμβουλευτική και Ψυχοθεραπεία (Dipl.,MSc, BACP ACCREDITED) στο Πανεπιστήμιο του Greenwich στο Λονδίνο. Εργάστηκε σε διαφορετικές δομές του Βρετανικού συστήματος υγείας για περίοδο οκτώ ετών. Διδάσκει σε ακαδημαϊκά προγράμματα ειδικής αγωγής και στο Πανεπιστήμιο Frederick ως συνεργαζόμενο εκπαιδευτικό προσωπικο διδάσκει στο εξ αποστάσεως μεταπτυχιακό πρόγραμμα Ειδικής Αγωγής (MEd). Παράλληλα, διατηρεί κλινική πρακτική σε ιδιωτικό γραφείο για παιδιά με συναισθηματικές, συμπεριφορές και αναπτυξιακές δυσκολίες καθώς και ενηλίκους με άγχος, κατάθλιψη και διαταραχή του μετατραυματικού στρες. Ολοκλήρωσε το διδακτορικό του στο Ψυχικό Τραύμα από τον σχολικό Εκφοβισμό, στο Πανεπιστήμιο Κρήτης. Έχει δημοσιεύσει επιστημονικά άρθρα πάνω στο ψυχικό τραύμα και τον εκφοβισμό, τις αναπτυξιακές διαταραχές καθώς και τη συμβουλευτική και ψυχοθεραπεία.
