Prof. Haris Charalambous

Short CV

Haris Haralambous is a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering and Informatics at the School of Engineering and currently serves as a Vice Rector for Research and Innovation of Frederick University. He has a BEng (Hon) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (1998) and a PhD in Digital Communications (2002) from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST). His research interests lie in the areas of Communications and radio propagation, ionospheric and tropospheric remote sensong and space weather effects on radio systems. Ο Δρ Χάρης Χαραλάμπους είναι Καθηγητής, διδάσκοντας μαθήματα σε προπτυχιακά προγράμματα στη Σχολή Μηχανικών και ειδικότερα στο Τμήμα Ηλεκτρολόγων Μηχανικών και Μηχανικών Υπολογιστών και Πληροφορικής. Έχει πτυχίο BEng(Hon) στην Ηλεκτρολογία και Ηλεκτρονική Μηχανική (1998) και διδακτορικό στις Ψηφιακές Επικοινωνίες (2002) από το University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST). Τα ερευνητικά του ενδιαφέροντα εντοπίζονται στους τομείς των Επικοινωνιών και των επιδράσεων του ιονόσφαιρικού  και του διαστημικού καιρού σε ραδιοσυστήματα. Είναι διευθυντής της Κυπριακής Ομάδας Ιονοσφαιρικής Έρευνας:
