Dr. Haris Charalambous

Short CV

Dr. Haris Haralambous is an Associate Professor, teaching subjects in undergraduate programs in the School of Engineering and in particular in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Informatics. He has a BEng (Hon) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (1998) and a PhD in Digital Communications (2002) from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST). His research interests lie in the areas of Communications, radio propagation and ionospheric and space weather effects on radio systems. He is the director of the Cyprus Ionospheric Research Group http://cyirg.frederick.ac.cy/.

Ο Δρ Χάρης Χαραλάμπους είναι Αναπληρωτής Καθηγητής, διδάσκοντας μαθήματα σε προπτυχιακά προγράμματα στη Σχολή Μηχανικών και ειδικότερα στο Τμήμα Ηλεκτρολόγων Μηχανικών και Μηχανικών Υπολογιστών και Πληροφορικής. Έχει πτυχίο BEng(Hon) στην Ηλεκτρολογία και Ηλεκτρονική Μηχανική (1998) και διδακτορικό στις Ψηφιακές Επικοινωνίες (2002) από το University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST). Τα ερευνητικά του ενδιαφέροντα εντοπίζονται στους τομείς των Επικοινωνιών, και των επιδράσεων του ιονόσφαιρικού και του διαστημικού καιρού σε ραδιοσυστήματα.
