Maria Nodaraki is an architect engineer (T.U.C, 2010, MSc in Conservation of Monuments and Sites, KU Leuven 2013) and holds a PhD in History & Theory of Architecture from the N.T.U.A (2021). Her research focuses on issues of history, theory and conservation of architecture of Modern Movement in the Mediterranean. She teaches History of Architecture at Frederick University in Cyprus. During her early career, she has taught courses such as Theory and Critics of Conservation at University of Cyprus, Architectural Design, Analysis of Traditional Settlements and Architectural Documentation at N.T.U.A. She has worked as an architect in architectural offices in Cyprus and abroad and has participated in research projects related to documentation, conservation and sustainable management of Modern Architecture at the University of Cyprus. She has published papers to distinguished journals and participated in international conferences devoted to Modern Architecture in the Mediterranean. She is an active member of the Greek group of DOCOMOMO, which is dedicated to documentation and conservation of buildings, sites and neighbourhoods of the Modern Movement.
