Overview
The Geotechnical Engineering Research Group is focusing on the advanced analysis of geotechnical problems and the development of innovative design solutions, while at the same time respecting the natural environment and promoting sustainable solutions in geotechnics.
The main research interests and activities of the members of the lab are related to:
- Finite Element Analysis in Geomechanics
- Stochastic Analysis and Probability-based Design
- Design with Eurocode 7
- Risk and Reliability Analysis in Geotechnical Engineering
- Teaching geotechnical engineering courses in undergraduate and postgraduate programs at Frederick University
- Fully equipped Soil Mechanics laboratory use
- Participation in national and international committees
- Collaborations with local and international companies and institutions.
