Our University's Sustainable Energy Research Group (SERG) has been awarded the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System certification, following a successful third-party audit by TÜV NORD GROUP Cyprus. 

SERG has held an ISO certification for ISO9001:2015 ‘Quality Management System – Requirements’ since 2012 and during this year’s audit it was also certified for ISO 14001:2015 ‘Environmental Management System’. The research group now holds a certification for an Integrated Management System of both ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

The successful third-party audit was conducted by TUV Nord at the research group's premises, which are certified under this integrated system and include both the group's offices at Frederick University's Library building as well as their lab spaces at BATA Laboratories.

The team notes: "We look forward to continuing our journey towards a more sustainable future, inspiring the scientific community to join us in the environmental management endeavor."
