Euphyia Tech wins Best Pitch Award for SmartBEAR at the SUSTAIN Eurocluster

We are excited to announce that Frederick University spin-off Euphyia Tech Ltd, won the Best Pitch Award from the European SUSTAIN Network on November 22.
The Smart BEAR application stood out among 35 projects competing for funding through the SUSTAIN Eurocluster program, and 12 projects that were presented at the networking event, held at the facililties of Greece's National Centre for Research and Technological Development (CERTH), in Thessaloniki, Greece.

The Smart BEAR project was presented by Theoklitos Kleitou, a PhD candidate at Frederick University's Engineering School, and a project manager at Euphyia Tech.

Developed by Euphyia Tech Ltd, the Smart BEAR application excelled for its groundbreaking innovation in building intelligence and sustainability.

The app creates a powerful tool for visualizing and assessing smart building upgrades. The platform allows users to see potential upgrades in real-time through immersive VR experiences, while also integrating this data into the BIM system for enhanced decision-making. The project aims to overcome communication barriers in construction by providing a seamless flow of information between SRI assessments and BIM models. This integration helps stakeholders understand building performance and potential improvements in a much more interactive and collaborative way.

By improving how building data is collected and used, Smart BEAR is set to drive greater transparency and efficiency in the construction process. It also allows for more informed decision-making, helping professionals see the long-term impacts of energy upgrades and smart technology integration on a building’s performance. The platform will set a new standard for collaboration and sustainability in the industry, offering a comprehensive solution that simplifies complex tasks and promotes smarter building practices.

The product is currently in the development stage and is being implemented by Euphyia Tech, a spin-off of Frederick University, which is supported by the Gravity Venture business incubator. Euphyia Tech specializes in the development of smart tools for assessing the sustainability and intelligence of buildings.
