‘Earn While You Learn’ is an Employment Scheme developed by the Career Office specifically for students working at the University.
During your studies, you have the opportunity to work part-time on campus, in a variety of roles that suit your academic schedule, for example: administration support, technical support, peer to peer support, university events support, reception, library and many more.
If you are a registered undergraduate, postgraduate or doctoral student you are eligible to work part time and get a deduction on your university fees.
You can apply to work on campus in a variety of roles that fit your academic schedule.
There are three periods of employment:
October – January
February – June
June – September

Funding your studies
Working on campus enables you to fund your studies and lower your university fees. The compensation for the hours you will be working will be deducted from your tuition fees.

Become well-rounded individuals and develop your employability skills
Working on campus will help you develop employability skills vital for your future employers such as communication, teamwork, problem solving or organisational skills. Furthermore, it is your opportunity to demonstrate your work ethic, motivation, resourcefulness and initiative - all of which are highly desirable by recruiters and employers.
Working hours: The maximum working time during academic semesters is 20 hours/week. During the holidays the maximum working time is 40 hours/week. The working hours will vary according to the needs of the University and may include evening hours and weekends, without exceeding the maximum number of working hours and without conflicting your class schedule.
