Welcome to one of the largest Engineering Schools in Cyprus

At the School of Engineering of Frederick University we strive to serve society by developing capable, broadly educated engineers, conducting high-quality research, developing state-of-the-art solutions to real-life engineering problems, and disseminating and preserving technical knowledge.

The School of Engineering was established in 2007, capitalizing on a long tradition in engineering education that started with Frederick Institute of Technology, thus making us the oldest academic community offering engineering education in Cyprus. We also remain one of the largest Engineering Schools in Cyprus; currently offering more than 25 Programs of Study.

We have been successfully educating a diverse group of students through a blend of modern, rigorous, and simultaneously pragmatic programs of study. Our graduates enjoy very high employability and have been very successful in their professional endeavors. Many of them hold high-profile positions in the industry, the public sector, and in academia, worldwide.

We have created an academic environment that facilitates educational success and values individuality, diversity, and community. Our undergraduate programs integrate technical knowledge with insights, communication skills, and team building. We have established graduate programs that are successful in interdisciplinary engineering research and innovative problem-solving. We have achieved significant academic partnerships with universities, the industry, and the public sector, nationally, regionally, and internationally.

Our faculty members are highly accomplished educators and scholars, who have been most successful in initiating internationally recognized research programs and producing significant scientific output, all while involving our students in these efforts. This involvement, alongside our direct collaboration with industrial partners, further expands the educational experiences of our students, while equipping them with strong analytical capabilities, technological edge, and the necessary skills for developing innovation and leadership.

Our state-of-the-art facilities in both our Nicosia and Limassol campuses provide teaching and research space to over 20 research groups and teaching laboratories. If you have never been to Frederick University, please do visit us for a tour of our facilities or to participate in one of the many activities that will allow you to better explore our exciting programs.
