The administrative structure of Frederick University aims to provide efficient support to the University’s operations and to facilitate the work of students, academic and administrative personnel. The six administrative services report to the Director of Administration and Finance who is appointed by the University Council.

The Administration Service is responsible for the overall management of the university. In addition, the Administration Service has the overall responsibility to coordinate with other services to ensure that the university is appropriately functioning.

It consists of two offices:

  • The Human Resources Office is responsible to address any administration issues related to university personnel, including contracts, recruitment and layoffs, training and staff development, promotion and career development processes. In relation to academic personnel, HR collaborates closely with academic management.
  • The Health & Safety Office, which is responsible for developing and implementing adequate health and safety policies and procedures to ensure that all people and university resources are appropriately protected. Furthermore, relevant documents are uploaded, frequently updated and available at the University's Learn Platform.

The Finance Service is responsible for all financial matters pertaining to the university including the treasury, managing all financial transactions, supporting the development and the oversight of the university budget, developing operational and tactical level financial policies, and facilitating audits collaborating with external auditors.

The Operations & Infrastructure Service is responsible for ensuring that the appropriate facilities and resources are in place and functioning appropriately to enable the smooth running of the University functions.

The Operations and Infrastructure Service consists of four offices:

  • The Library is responsible for maintaining and providing all academic resources and repositories of the university to both staff and students, including electronic resources and services.
  • The Information Systems Office is responsible to design, develop and support all infrastructure and services related to information systems including networking and computing facilities, centralized computing services and user support.
  • The Facilities Office is responsible to ensure that all buildings, laboratories, offices, classrooms and common spaces that the university uses are in appropriate condition.
  • The Academic Operations Office is responsible for the timetabling of the university and the report development on academic operations.

The Studies & Student Welfare Service is responsible for providing to students the necessary services that ensure academic procedures and documentation are followed and the appropriate student support is in place to maximize each student’s potential.

It consists of six offices with three focusing on Studies and three on Student Welfare.

  • A key office is Registrar’s Office, which is responsible for maintaining all student related information and report development including course registrations, grading, transcripts and certificates, and degrees.
  • The Academic Units Support Office is responsible to coordinate administrative officers dedicated to academic units (Schools, Departments).
  • The Distance Learning Unit Office is administering distance learning studies and overseeing all non-academic activities related to distance learning programs of study. It acts as a liaising point between students, academics and other administrative bodies.
  • The Sports Office is responsible for the general welfare of students and strives to ensure that the student population has a creative and enjoyable student experience.
  • The Support and Counselling Office is responsible for providing students with appropriate support and counselling in order to best address issues and problems that may arise of academic, social, or psychological nature.
  • The Careers Office provides advice and training to students on how to better prepare for a successful entrance to the job market and informs students on employment opportunities either as graduates or whilst studying.

The Research & Interconnection Service acts as an effective in-house consulting and implementation support service that facilitates the Research and Innovation activities of the University’s academics and researchers, as well as promotes and drives the Technology Transfer and Interconnection goals of the University with the local community and other Universities and Research Organizations in Cyprus and abroad. In addition, the R&I Service provides support for the effective implementation of funded projects through Frederick Research Center (FRC).

The Research and Interconnection Service consists of the following Offices:

  • The Research & Innovation Office’s core responsibility is to support the academic and research personnel of the University to apply for, participate and implement high quality RDI projects or other activities (through Frederick University and Frederick Research Centre), mainly externally funded by national and EU competitive programs. The Office also advises the University’s Senate & Council on research and innovation policies & strategy and implements the guidelines of the University’s Research Committee.
  • The Liaison Office is responsible for interconnecting the University with enterprises and other governmental and non-governmental organizations, having as ultimate goal the promotion and facilitation of technology transfer activities, critically including the work placement of students for gaining professional experience during their studies.
  • The Training & Certification Center aims at knowhow transfer through the development and offering of training, up-skilling and lifelong learning programs, tailored to the needs of businesses, their employees and other individuals, as prescribed by the ever-changing work environment.
  • The Mobility Office promotes and facilitates the international mobility of students, staff and graduates for studies, intensive training programs and internships or work placements, mainly through the implementation of the Erasmus program, as well as others like IAESTE.

The Communications and Outreach Service is responsible for building, enhancing and promoting the image and reputation of the University through a variety of communication channels and tools. It works closely with other services, as well as faculty members, to communicate and engage with diverse audiences and stakeholders inside and outside the University, including prospective students.

It consists of three offices:

  • The Student Recruitment and Outreach Office acts as a liaison between the University and prospective students. It is responsible for proactively engaging with target audiences, efficiently processing student admissions and supporting all potential applicants with appropriate counselling and guidance.
  • The Communications and Marketing Office is responsible for developing and implementing an integrated communications strategy, both nationally and internationally. This includes content development for marketing material, managing social media pages and websites, overseeing media relations, events organising, running advertising campaigns and handling crisis communications.
  • The Alumni Office is dedicated to coordinating the University’s global network of graduates and staying in touch with graduates, through regular communications and events.
