Dr. Vasiliki Karagkouni

Dr Vasiliki Karagouni is Assistant Professor at the Law Department of Frederick University. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Law from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and was awarded her Master’s Degree (in International Law) and her PhD (specializing in Comparative Private Law issues between civil and common law legal systems) from the Law School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She is a Lawyer at Supreme Court, member of the Athens Bar Association since 2005, and has handled in whole or part more than 200 litigation cases in all fields of public law. She has participated in scientific researches financed by the European Union and the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, concerning public issues, human rights, and the incorporation of European Directives in the Greek law system. She is a proficient user of Greek, English and French and has very good knowledge of German and Russian.
