Since 2008 Dr. Plomaritou has been working as an Asst. Professor in Chartering & Shipping Marketing at the Department of Maritime Transport and Commerce of Frederick University. Additionally, since February 2011 she has been working as Shipping Consultant at Lloyd's Maritime Academy (UK). Dr. Plomaritou is considered a shipping expert, having founded an innovative and original approach on chartering policies and marketing strategies of shipping companies. As a result, she has undertaken projects of planning the chartering policies and marketing strategies of shipping companies, as well as their in-company professional training worldwide (Greece, UK, Abu Dhabi, Cyprus, France, Switzerland, Denmark, Cape Town etc.). Her teaching experience is spread to the following institutions: European University (Switzerland), Middlesex University (UK), Metropolitan College (in collaboration with Southampton Solent University, UK), Danish Shipping Academy (Denmark), University of Piraeus, National & Kapodistrian University of Athens. From 2001 to 2008, she worked for the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS) providing consulting and training services to shipping professionals, while she was actively involved with the foundation of the ICS Greek Branch and the establishment of the relevant academic programme adopted. Her wide research has been published in leading academic journals. Moreover, her writing experience includes 5 books and 15 e-books. It is worth noting the 8th ed. of her book titled “Shipbroking and Chartering Practice” published by Informa Law from Routledge as part of their book series called “Lloyd's Practical Shipping Guides”. Evi was awarded with distinction her “PhD in Chartering Policy and Marketing Strategy of Shipping Companies” (University of Piraeus), while she also holds the “MSc in International Transport” (University of Cardiff, Wales), the “BSc with distinction in Maritime Business” (University of Piraeus), the “Adv. Diploma in Transport & Logistics” (Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, UK) and the “Prof. Diploma with distinction in Dry Cargo Chartering” (Cambridge Academy of Transport, UK).
