Research Areas: Creativity and Innovation, Media Management, Employee Engagement, Creative Group CoordinationStavros Georgiades is Professor of Management at the Stuttgart Media University (Visiting Post), Lecturer of Management at Frederick University, and a research collaborator of the FCB Research Centre for Media and Digital Management (Berlin University of Digital Sciences) operating in cooperation with the Humboldt University of Berlin. He holds a PhD in Management from the Henley Business School, University of Reading, UK, and his research focuses on the areas of organization studies and media management. Stavros has carried out research work with European, US and Brazilian media organizations, including Globo (Brazil) and Channel 4 (UK), in employee engagement, creativity and organizational development. He has authored a monograph on “Employee Engagement in Media Management – Creativeness and Organizational Development” published by Springer in 2015 and his research has been published in the Business and Management Research Journal and the Journal of Business and Economics. Recently he has developed an interest in creative group coordination and the way it can be achieved through a team developmental process that is the focus of his second monograph to be published by Springer in 2019. Stavros is currently the Chair of the 2019 European Media Management Association Conference, an Associate Editor of the Journal of Media Management and Entrepreneurship (IGI Global), a Board member of the European Media Management Association, and serves as an ad hoc book reviewer for Routledge Publisher, as a reviewer for the Journals Organizational Change Management and Business and Economics, and for conferences like the Academy of Management. In the past he served to the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation and worked as a Business Consultant in London, UK, for several years, his clients including the BBC.
