Dr. Antreas Dionysiou

Short CV

Dr. Antreas Dionysiou earned his doctorate in Computer Science from the University of Cyprus. He is currently a Lecturer at Frederick University’s School of Engineering, within the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Informatics. Dr. Antreas has served as a Research Associate on two Horizon Europe projects, one Horizon 2020 project, and two Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) funded projects. From 2018 to 2024, he was a Research Associate with the Security Research in Cyprus (SREC) group at the University of Cyprus. His contributions to computer security are reflected in his publications in leading venues such as IEEE European Security & Privacy (EuroS&P), ACM Asia Conference on Computer and Communications Security (AsiaCCS), Privacy Enhancing Technologies Symposium (PETS), and Elsevier Computers & Security. He has been awarded the Seeds for the Future Scholarship for Academic Excellence by Huawei Technologies (Cyprus) Co. Ltd. His research interests include cybersecurity, machine learning security and privacy, deception-based data breach detection, and systems security. Dr. Dionysiou is an active program committee member for several esteemed computer security and privacy journals and conferences. Ο Δρ Αντρέας Διονυσίου απέκτησε το διδακτορικό του στην Επιστήμη των Υπολογιστών από το Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου. Σήμερα είναι Λέκτορας στην Πολυτεχνικήν του Πανεπιστημίου Frederick, στο Τμήμα Ηλεκτρολόγων Μηχανικών και Μηχανικών Υπολογιστών και Πληροφορικής. Ο Δρ Αντρέας έχει διατελέσει Επιστημονικός Συνεργάτης σε δύο έργα του Horizon Europe, ένα έργο του Horizon 2020 και δύο έργα που χρηματοδοτούνται από το Ίδρυμα Έρευνας και Καινοτομίας (RIF). Από το 2018 έως το 2024, ήταν Ερευνητικός Συνεργάτης στην ομάδα Security Research in Cyprus (SREC) του Πανεπιστημίου Κύπρου. Η συμβολή του στην ασφάλεια υπολογιστών αντικατοπτρίζεται στις δημοσιεύσεις του σε κορυφαία συνέδρεια όπως το IEEE European Security & Privacy (EuroS&P), το ACM Asia Conference on Computer and Communications Security (AsiaCCS), το Privacy Enhancing Technologies Symposium (PETS) και το Elsevier Computers & Security. Του έχει απονεμηθεί το βραβείο Seeds for the Future Scholarship for Academic Excellence από την Huawei Technologies (Cyprus) Co. Ltd. Τα ερευνητικά του ενδιαφέροντα περιλαμβάνουν την ασφάλεια στον κυβερνοχώρο, την ασφάλεια ιδιωτικότητα μοντέλων μηχανικής μάθησης, την ανίχνευση παραβιάσεων δεδομένων με βάση την παραπλάνηση και την ασφάλεια συστημάτων. Ο Δρ Διονυσίου είναι ενεργός αξιολογητής για πολλά κορυφαία περιοδικά και συνέδρια ασφάλειας υπολογιστών και ιδιωτικότητας.
