Dr. Elias A. Christoforou is a PhD holder (Frederick University) since June 2019. He studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Cyprus from 2007 until 2011 and attended from 2011 to 2013 the post graduate program in energy technologies and sustainable design at the University of Cyprus. From 2013 until 2015, he worked as research associate at Frederick Research Center and a member of the Sustainable Energy Research Group (SERG). Dr. Christoforou’s research is primarily concerned with the physical, elemental and proximal characterization of second generation biomass. Other research activities include the production and valorisation of solid biofuels derived from lignocellulosic biomass. He is the author and/or co-author of more than 16 publications in international peer-reviewed journals, 4 book chapters and 1 book. Dr. Christoforou is a visiting lecturer at the School of Engineering at Frederick University and he teaches in undergraduate and postgraduate programs of study in the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
