Dr. Evanthia Asimakopoulou

Dr Evanthia Asimakopoulou is an Assistant Professor in Nursing Department at Frederick University with specialization in the field of “Critical Care Nursing”. She graduated from Department of Nursing of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2004 and gained a Master’s degree in Mental Health and a PhD in Nursing with Excellence from University of Athens, having awarded a scholarship. Dr Asimakopoulou has a great clinical experience as a Nurse and Clinical instructor in Intensive Care Units, in Greece and UK. In the meanwhile, she has a Certification of Teaching Qualification for Lifelong Learning, receiving from Greek Ministry of Education. She was Trainer for adults in Vocational Training Centers for the Course “Physical and Mental Health” and Clinical Nurse Trainer in Institute of Vocational Training (IVT) of Nursing in Athens. Since 2017 she has been teaching in the undergraduate program of Nursing and since 2020 she is the Coordinator of Clinical Training. She has also undertaken the Program Coordination, the Erasmus Coordination and the Connection with the Job Market of the Nursing Department. She is also Guest Lecturer at Tallinn Health Care College, in Estonia for the e-course “Adult Health Behavior”. At the same time, she is member of Scientific Committees in Domestic and International Nursing Conferences and she has a collaboration with the Department of Safety & Health of General Hospital of Nicosia. Dr Asimakopoulou’ s research activities focus mainly on Critical Care Nursing, Advance care planning, Physical and Mental trauma, Pain management, Nursing education and her research has been presented in international conferences and scientific journals.

Η Δρ Ευανθία Ασημακοπούλου είναι Επίκουρη Καθηγήτρια Νοσηλευτικής στο Πανεπιστήμιο Frederick με γνωστικό αντικείμενο «Νοσηλευτική Μονάδων Εντατικής Θεραπείας». Αποφοίτησε από το Τμήμα Νοσηλευτικής του Εθνικού και Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών το 2004 και έχει μεταπτυχιακό στη Ψυχική Υγεία και διδακτορικό στη Νοσηλευτική με Άριστα από το ίδιο Πανεπιστήμιο, έχοντας λάβει υποτροφία. Η Δρ Ασημακοπούλου έχει κλινική εμπειρία ως Νοσηλεύτρια και Κλινική Εκπαιδεύτρια σε Μονάδες Εντατικής Θεραπείας, στην Ελλάδα και στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο. Επίσης, διαθέτει Πιστοποίηση Εκπαίδευσης Ενηλίκων από το Υπουργείο Παιδείας της Ελλάδας και υπήρξε Εκπαιδεύτρια ενηλίκων σε Κέντρα Επαγγελματικής Κατάρτισης με θέμα «Σωματική και Ψυχική Υγεία» και Κλινική Εκπαιδεύτρια σε Ινστιτούτα Επαγγελματικής Κατάρτισης (ΙΕΚ) Νοσηλευτικής στην Αθήνα. Από το 2017 διδάσκει μαθήματα στο προπτυχιακό πρόγραμμα του τμήματος Νοσηλευτικής και από το 2020 είναι Συντονίστρια Κλινικής Άσκησης. Από το 2022 έχει αναλάβει τον συντονισμό του Προγράμματος Νοσηλευτικής, του Erasmus και τη Διασύνδεση με την αγορά εργασίας του Τμήματος. Είναι επίσης προσκεκλημένη Λέκτορας στο Tallinn Health Care College, στην Εσθονία για το διαδικτυακό μάθημα «Adult Health Behavior». Παράλληλα, είναι μέλος Επιστημονικών Επιτροπών σε Εγχώρια και Διεθνή Νοσηλευτικά Συνέδρια και έχει συνεργασία με το Τμήμα Ασφάλειας & Υγείας του Γενικού Νοσοκομείου Λευκωσίας. Οι ερευνητικές δραστηριότητες της Δρ Ασημακοπούλου επικεντρώνονται κυρίως στην Εντατική Νοσηλευτική Φροντίδα, στον Προηγμένο Σχεδιασμό Φροντίδας, στο Σωματικό και Ψυχικό Τραύμα, στη Διαχείριση του πόνου, στη Νοσηλευτική εκπαίδευση και η έρευνά της έχει παρουσιαστεί σε διεθνή συνέδρια και επιστημονικά περιοδικά.
