Dr. Maria Malamatari

Short CV

Maria Malamatari is a pharmaceutical assessor at the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (London). She is also a visiting lecturer at the Frederick University (Nicosia) since 2021. She obtained her undergraduate degree from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (MPharm, 2012). During this time, she undertook her pre-registration training at the General Hospital Patision in Athens and an Erasmus placement at UCL School of Pharmacy on the dissolution of poorly water-soluble drugs. From 2012 to 2016, she carried out her PhD in the Centre for Doctoral Training in Targeted Therapeutics and Formulation Sciences at UCL. From 2016 to 2017, she worked as a research associate in pharmaceutical cocrystallisation processes at the University of Greenwich. Dr Malamatari’s research interests include particle engineering for pulmonary drug delivery, nanoparticle-based formulations, pharmaceutical cocrystals, digital health and regulatory affairs.
