Dr. Plomaritou is Assistant Professor in Chartering & Shipping Marketing at Frederick University. Since 2011 she has been working as Shipping Consultant at Lloyd's Maritime Academy (UK). Having founded an innovative approach on chartering policies and marketing strategies of shipping companies, she is considered a shipping expert in this field. Evi has undertaken many projects in respect of planning the chartering policies and marketing strategies of shipping companies worldwide (Greece, UK, France, Switzerland, Denmark, Abu Dhabi, Cape Town etc.). Evi has taught at the European University (Switzerland), Middlesex University (UK), Danish Shipping Academy (Denmark), Norwegian University of Science & Technology (Norway), University of Piraeus and the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens. From 2001 to 2008, she worked for the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS) providing consulting and training services, whilst being actively involved with the foundation of the ICS Greek Branch and the creation of the Annual Professional Maritime Programme. Evi is the author of 5 books and 15 e-books, significantly the 8th edition of her book titled “Shipbroking and Chartering Practice” published by Informa Law as part of the book series “Lloyd's Shipping Guides”. Evi was awarded distinction in her “PhD in Chartering Policy and Marketing Strategy of Shipping Companies” (University of Piraeus). Other qualifications include “MSc in International Transport” (University of Cardiff), “BSc with distinction in Maritime Studies” (University of Piraeus), “Adv. Diploma in Transport & Logistics” (Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, UK) and “Prof. Diploma with distinction in Dry Cargo Chartering” (Cambridge Academy of Transport, UK).
