Ο Δρ. Παναγιώτης Παουλλής φοίτησε στο Αριστοτέλειο Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλονίκης στο τμήμα Μαθηματικών και στη συνέχεια ολοκλήρωσε τις μεταπτυχιακές του σπουδές στη Στατιστική στο Πανεπιστήμιο «University of Manchester» του Μάντσεστερ (Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο). Έγινε δεκτός στο Πανεπιστήμιο «Oviedo University» του Οβιέδο (Ισπανία) στο Τμήμα Μαθηματικών όπου και ολοκλήρωσε το Διδακτορικό του στα Μαθηματικά και στη Στατιστική. Το κύριο θέμα της διδακτορικής του διατριβής αποτέλεσε η μελέτη αλγορίθμων χρήσιμων στην επίλυση στατιστικών προβλημάτων εκτίμησης που απαιτούν μεγάλο υπολογιστικό κόστος. Ο Δρ. Παουλλής από το 2007 εργάζεται ως λειτουργός στο Πανεπιστήμιο Frederick ενώ από το 2018 είναι επικεφαλής του Γραφείου Προγραμματισμού του Πανεπιστήμιου. Ο Δρ. Παουλλης από το 2018 διδάσκει στο Πανεπιστήμιο Frederick, μαθήματα Πιθανοτήτων και Στατιστικής σε προπτυχιακά προγράμματα σπουδών της Σχολής Μηχανικής, καθώς επίσης εργάζεται ως Συνεργαζόμενο Εκπαιδευτικό Προσωπικό στα εξ αποστάσεως μεταπτυχιακά προγράμματα Κοινοτική Φροντίδα Υγείας και Διοίκηση Υπηρεσιών και Μονάδων Υγείας της Σχολής της Υγείας διδάσκοντας το μάθημα Μεθοδολογία της Έρευνας και Βιοστατιστικής. Ο Δρ Παουλλής είναι ενεργό μέλος σε διαφορά ευρωπαϊκά ερευνητικά προγράμματα.

Dr Panagiotis Paoullis obtained his BSc in Mathematics from the Aristotle University in Thessaloniki and his MSc in Statistics from the University of Manchester. He further earned his PhD in Mathematics and Statistics from Oviedo University, on a thesis titled “Matrix-based Algorithms for Solving Computationally Intensive Statistical Estimation Problems”. His interests are mainly focused on the field of Computational Statistics and Numerical Methods. Dr Paoullis has worked as an administrator at Frederick University since 2007 and in 2018 he was assigned the position of the Head of the Academic Operation Office. Since 2018, he has been teaching Probability and Statistics at Frederick University, in Undergraduate Programs of Study in the School of Engineering. He is a Collaborate Academic Staff, teaching Research Methodology and Biostatistics in the distance learning programs Health Management and Community Health Care in the School of Health. Dr Paoullis’ scientific work has been periodically presented in International Conferences and scientific journals. Furthermore, he has attended numerous series of tutorials and training courses, related to the field of Statistics and Computer Science. In addition, he has actively participated in various research projects, funded by European Union.
