Overview
The Advanced Infrastructure and Materials group (AIM) is involved in fundamental and applied research related to classical and modern structural engineering areas as well as construction materials, including a combination of analytical, design, as well as experimental techniques and the use of computers reflecting current and future practice.
AIM activities include:
- Structural safety of buildings and infrastructure
- Disaster risk reduction
- Computer aided structural engineering
- Effective reuse of waste construction materials in concrete mixes
- Sustainable Building Materials
- Testing and Simulation Techniques
- Retrofitting and upgrading of existing structures
