Relaxation Room

In this short video, we are introducing you to simple meditation techniques to help you calm your mind and relax. Meditation can also improve your focus and concentration.

Diaphragmatic breathing

The diaphragmatic breathing technique is a simple exercise that helps us regulate our breathing and calm our bodies. It can be easily applied wherever you are. You can also try it before going to sleep for better quality sleep.

The benefits of diaphragmatic breathing:

  Increases energy.

  • Reduces stress levels.
  • Calms the nervous, cardiac, and digestive systems.
  • It creates a conscious connection between body and spirit.
  • It promotes physical and mental well-being.

Here's how to do it:

  • Lie on your back on a flat surface (or in bed) with your knees bent. You can use a pillow under your head and your knees for support, if that's more comfortable.
  • Place one hand on your upper chest and the other on your belly, just below your rib cage.
  • Breathe in slowly through your nose, letting the air in deeply, towards your lower belly. The hand on your chest should remain still, while the one on your belly should rise.
  • Tighten your abdominal muscles and let them fall inward as you exhale through pursed lips. The hand on your belly should move down to its original position.

You can also practice this sitting in a chair, with your knees bent and your shoulders, head, and neck relaxed. Practice for 5 to 10 minutes, several times a day if possible.

  • Let’s Fight Stress
The seminar is aimed at students who want to gain a clearer picture of the nature of stress and discover new alternative ways of managing it for a creative and enjoyable life with less stress.
Attending the workshop will help students:

    - develop stress management techniques during the exam period,
