for a successful beginning

Here’s a brief checklist to help you prepare for the beginning of your academic journey at Frederick University.

Just follow the steps below for a successful University start.

Here you can download this semester’s Welcome Pack with important information.

  • Know your Frederick Student ID#. Your Student ID (AKA registration number) will be the same throughout your studies. It is a 5-digit number starting with the number 2, which you will receive from the Admissions Office upon completing your registration.
  • Submit any pending official documents, transcripts and/or external examination scores. Do not forget to present to the Admissions Office your attested or original High School Leaving Certificate as well as any other pending documents that are part of the admissions process. If you are transferring credits from previous studies or examinations, you must also present attested or original transcripts / certificates.
  • Inform the Admissions Office if you are a student seeking support for a documented disability. By giving your consent during your registration to the University, a member of our Counselling Centre team will reach out to you in order to discuss available services and possible learning accommodations.
  • Mark your Calendar. Find out about the New Student Preparatory Program and Orientation Days for Incoming Students and mark the dates on your calendar.
  • Settle the payment of your semester tuition fees (1st instalment) in order to receive your student credentials and proceed with your semester course selection and registration.
  • Receive your student credentials. Prior to the beginning of the semester you will receive via text message your student credentials, which include your username (st0 followed by your Student ID#) and password (which you can later change). You need your student credentials in order to have access to all electronic services, such as Frederick Webmail, Student Portal, Library Services, Learning Platform etc.
  • Email us your photo so we can issue your Frederick Student ID Card. When sending the photo please mention your Frederick Student ID# in the subject line of the email. Photos should be sent to studies@frederick.ac.cy (Nicosia Campus students) and lib.cm@frederick.ac.cy (Limassol Campus students).
  • If you are an undergraduate student, participate in the Preparatory Program in September, and get a head start before the beginning of the semester.
  • Participate in the Orientation Days that are held the week before the beginning of classes.
  • Meet with your Academic Advisor and register to the semester’s courses, which you will have to accept by signing in to your Extranet (student Portal) account.
  • Review your online timetable (found in Extranet) so you are ready for your first week of classes.
  • Placement tests. For some courses (like Maths, English etc) you will be required to take a placement test in order to register to the course that is most suitable for you.
  • Log in to your Webmail Account and start using your student email.
  • Download and install the Frederick Connect App (available on Google Play and App Store) on your mobile phone, so you are always informed about important news, events and deadlines.

  • Congratulations, you are ready for the first day of classes! For Fall 2023 semester classes begin on Monday, October 2nd. Do not forget to refer frequently to the Academic Calendar with all the important dates and deadlines of each semester.
  • Carefully review your timetable and arrive at the University early so that you can locate your building and classrooms on time.
  • At the end of Week 1, review all your course outlines and note on your calendar all important course-related days, such as midterms, lab work, assessments etc.
  • Participate in any Welcome Activities that are organised by the University in order to meet fellow students, find out what support services are available for you and learn how you can become an active member of our student community.
We look forward to meeting you in person.
We hope you are as excited as we are and we wish you a great journey to success, through the years you will spend with us.
