Mobility
for Studies
The studies or the recognition of your courses will not be affected at all because student exchanges are based on the mutual exchange of educational programs by host and receiving institutions and is achieved through the system ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System).
At most of our partner Institutions, courses are taught in the native language. However, in a number of partner Universities the language of instruction is English whilst in some others, specific courses are offered in English especially for Erasmus students.
If you are thinking about going on an Erasmus exchange where your courses are not taught in Greek, you should have a good knowledge of the host institution language of instruction.
Each student/graduate who will be approved for participation, receives a scholarship from the Erasmus+ program, proportional to the period and the country he will go to. The program covers living and travel expenses.

PhD students have the opportunity to participate in a short term mobility for example to study a course, do a dissertation preparation activity or conduct a traineeship. The physical part must be between 5 and 30 days and a virtual component is optional.
PhD students participating in a short term mobility can apply for an Erasmus grant. The grant is based on the length of the physical mobility including one travel day before and one travel day after the mobility period if needed. Travel days on the first or last day of the mobility are not counted as travel days. The grant is only granted for the physical part of the mobility. You can also apply for a top-up for green travel to travel in a more sustainable way to and from the host country.
70 EUR per day until and including the 14th day
50 EUR per day from the 15th day (maximum 30 days)
As a complement to regular semester long mobilities, students can take part in a blended mobility with a short physical mobility of 5 to 30 days and a compulsory virtual component. Both exchange studies and a traineeship can be executed as a blended mobility. Contact the International Coordinator at your department for more information.
"A person with special needs is a potential participant whose individual physical, mental or health-related situation is such that his/her participation in the project / mobility Action would not be possible without extra financial support."
Students or Staff with permanent or long-term disabilities, including disabilities caused by physical or psychological illness can receive an extra top-up added to the original grant amount.
