Panayiotis Charalambous is an Assistant Professor at the School of Arts, Communication, and Cultural Studies at Frederick University, coordinator of the BA VISUAL COMMUNICATION - FILMMAKING & DIGITAL MEDIA program and a member of the PFM (Photography. Film+Media) Lab. He teaches courses in the field of Television and Film production such as Video Production, Editing Theory & Practice, Screenwriting, Film Directing, Representations of Reality & Documentary, Production of Non- Fiction Film etc. He holds a BFA and an MA in Communication Arts with specialization in Film & TV Production from the New York Institute of Technology, USA. Panayiotis is at the same time an independent Filmmaker with a research interest and professional practice that explores the relationship between image and narrative in the context of today’s urgencies. He has directed / produced various types of videos and films such as documentaries, educational videos, video art and short films. Panayiotis's work has been broadcast nationally at all major Television channels in Cyprus and internationally through various digital platforms and venues. He has collaborated with many well-known artists in Cyprus for the production of Video Art films that have been exhibited in worldwide-recognized venues, exhibitions and museums. Prior to his academic career, he worked as a TV Director at a nationwide TV Channel where he directed various kinds of programs such as daily TV sitcom, Documentaries, Sport Shows, Talk Shows, Video Clips, Live Events etc.

Ο Παναγιώτης Χαραλάμπους είναι Επίκουρος Καθηγητής στη Σχολή Τεχνών, Επικοινωνίας και Πολιτισμικών Σπουδών του Πανεπιστημίου Frederick, συντονιστής του προγράμματος BA VISUAL COMMUNICATION - FILMMAKING & DIGITAL MEDIA και μέλος το εργαστηρίου PFM (Photography. Film+Media) Lab. Διδάσκει μαθήματα στον τομέα της τηλεοπτικής και κινηματογραφικής παραγωγής. Είναι κάτοχος Bachelor of Fine Arts και Master of Arts in Communication Arts με ειδικότητα στην Τηλεόραση και στον Κινηματογράφο από το New York Institute of Technology, ΗΠΑ. Ο Παναγιώτης είναι παράλληλα ανεξάρτητος Σκηνοθέτης/Παραγωγός  με ερευνητικό ενδιαφέρον και επαγγελματική πρακτική που διερευνά τη σχέση της εικόνας και της αφήγηση, στο πλαίσιο των σημερινών αναγκών και γεγονότων. Έχει σκηνοθετήσει/παράξει διάφορους τύπους παραγωγών βίντεο και ταινιών όπως ντοκιμαντέρ, εκπαιδευτικά  βίντεο,  video art  και μικρού μήκους ταινίες. Το έργο του Παναγιώτη έχει μεταδοθεί σε εθνικό επίπεδο σε όλα τα μεγάλα τηλεοπτικά κανάλια στην Κύπρο αλλά και μέσω διαφόρων ψηφιακών πλατφόρμων. Έχει συνεργαστεί με πολλούς γνωστούς καλλιτέχνες στην Κύπρο για την παραγωγή ταινιών Video Art που έχουν παρουσιαστεί σε παγκοσμίως αναγνωρισμένους εκθεσιακούε χώρους και μουσεία.
