Dr. Apostolia Pastra

Short CV

Dr Pastra is a Psychopedagogist. She is a graduate of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and she hold a PhD of the Panteion University in the Department of Psychology. She trained in the Department of Philosophy in the University of Athens and she was a Postdoctoral fellow of the Peloponnesian University in the Theatrical Studies Department. She is registered in the National Accreditation Center of Continuing Vocation Training of special education, with great professional experience in special education since 1993. Currently she is working, through Art, with children having diversified developmental disorders. Dr Pastra has specialized in structured programs involving special education. She is also a research fellow in the Frederick University of Cyprus and she teaches the course: “ART AS A THERAPEUTIC INSTRUCTION IN SPECIAL EDUCATION” in the Distance Learning Program of Special Education at the School of Education and Social Sciences. She collaborates with art institutions and bodies, organizing and directing theatrical meetings for children and adults. Recently, she has been working as a civil servant in the Cultural Department of Western Greece District and belongs to the work team Creative@Hubs- Holistic networking of creative industries via hubs, of the European Program INTERREG, for the cultural industry.
