Teaching without borders - Discovering eTwinning: online lecture by Carol Barriuso
As part of the open lecture series hosted by Frederick University's Postgraduate Program in Intercultural Studies and Teaching Greek as a Second/Foreign Language, speaker Carol Barriuso will give an online lecture on Thursday, November 20th.
This introductory webinar will guide you through the eTwinning platform, a vibrant European community where educators collaborate on innovative, cross-cultural projects.
Participants will have the opportunity to discover how to get started and participate in projects that promote creativity, digital competence, and intercultural awareness among students. They will also be able to explore how eTwinning and the European School Education Platform (ESEP) offer valuable opportunities for continuous professional development — from online courses and learning events to international networking and collaboration, as well as learn how to integrate eTwinning into their future classroom and start building their own European teacher identity.
Carol Barriuso is an English teacher, teacher trainer, EdTech educator and an eTwinning Ambassadress and Moderator with extensive experience promoting European educational collaboration. She works with European Schoolnet moderating the featured eTwinning group "Literacy, Media Literacy and Critical Thinking". eTwinning is a community for schools, an online space where schools can collaborate. eTwinning provides a safe and free platform for teachers and pupils across Europe to work together on projects, discuss in online groups, and develop their professional skills.
