Arts & Communication students participate in the “Eureka Massalias Fashion Reborn” fashion show

With an impressive fashion show, taking place on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at the Old GSP Stadium, the initiative “Fashion Reborn” reaches its peak. The initiative is the result of a collaboration between Frederick University and the Cyprus Red Cross – Nicosia Branch, with the support of Eureka Massalias.

The event represents the final expression of a multifaceted creative process that brought together students of the Fashion and Image Design, Interior Design and Visual Communication programs at Frederick University, fashion professionals, and organizations, highlighting fashion as a means of expression, sustainability, and social responsibility.

“Eureka Massalias Fashion Reborn” began at the Cyprus Red Cross, where volunteers selected garments that had reached the end of their life cycle. Students then creatively repurposed these items, experimenting with forms and techniques, transforming them into new design proposals under the guidance of Eleni Tzirki and Doris Kailos, members of the academic staff of the Department of Arts and Communication at Frederick University.

In the next stage of the initiative, established Cypriot designers actively participated in the process, creating their own designs through the concept of upcycling. At the same time, they acted as mentors to the students, strengthening the connection between the academic community and the professional fashion industry.

The culmination of this creative journey will be presented to the public through a fashion show featuring creations by Frederick University students and the following designers: Menelaos Theodosiades, Natar Georgiou, Gregory Morfi, Annise, Andreas Zanettidis, Marina Nikolaidou, Lana Antoniadou, Maria Aristeidou, Maria Anaxagora, Giorgos Georgiou (Lash), Rafaella Argyrou, Vasiliki Charitonos, Maria Neophytou, Leoni Kleovoulou, Sotiris Kazelis, Eva Kyriakou, and Anna Michailidou.

“Eureka Massalias Fashion Reborn” highlights the transformative power of creativity, promoting sustainable fashion and encouraging the reuse of materials through a contemporary, artistic approach. At the same time, it acts as a bridge between two generations of creators, giving young designers the opportunity to interact with industry professionals and present their work to the public.

The event will take place at the Old GSP Stadium, with the cocktail reception starting at 18:30 and the fashion show at 19:30. Tickets are available at €25 via Ticketmaster.

The initiative is led by the Cyprus Red Cross – Nicosia Branch and Frederick University, with Eureka Massalias as the Main Sponsor. Scaffolding Solutions is the Gold Sponsor of the event, while Coca-Cola HBC and Altia are Silver Sponsors. The event is supported by Alpha Bank and Alphamega, with additional support from Grawe Insurance, Wella, and Beauty Line and Shoe Box stores. Alpha Cyprus is the Media Sponsor.
