Students from universities across the EU-CONEXUS European University Alliance come together in Cyprus for a week of learning, collaboration and knowledge exchange focused on sustainable urban development.

Frederick University is hosting the EU-CONEXUS Micro-credential Autumn School 2026 from 7 to 11 September 2026, under the theme “Transferring Green Knowledge into Urban Action.”

More than 80 students from EU-CONEXUS partner universities will travel to Cyprus for a week of face-to-face learning, collaboration and intercultural exchange. The Autumn School is part of the European Alliance’s wider initiative to provide students with opportunities to develop future-oriented skills while experiencing international mobility and learning alongside peers from across Europe.

During the Autumn School, participating students will attend two micro-credentials, choosing between two thematic groups:

• Green Competences 4 All and Translating Research into Action in Healthcare
• Theoretical Skills for PV Systems Installers and Innovations for Sustainable Urban Development

The micro-credentials are designed to strengthen knowledge and skills that respond to current societal and labor-market needs, with a particular focus on green, digital and entrepreneurial competences. 

The Autumn School also offers students an opportunity to experience Cyprus, connect with fellow students from different European countries and build new personal and academic networks.

Alongside their studies, participants will take part in a program combining cultural, social and other activities, creating a well-rounded European mobility experience. EU-CONEXUS in-person Micro-credential Schools bring students and academics from different countries together in an international learning environment that encourages collaboration, exchange and new perspectives.
