Lecture on "Planning and land policy for high-rise hybrid buildings" by Prof. Fabian Thiel

Frederick University's Urban Planning and Development Unit is organizing a guest lecture on "Planning and land policy for high-rise hybrid buildings" on March 28th, 2024, at the University's Nicosia campus. Professor Fabian Thiel is the invited speaker. 

The event is open to the general public. Architects, urban planners, engineers, local government officials dealing with urban planning, real estate development and environmental impact assessment and related legislation are welcomed.

Prof. Fabian Thiel is a Professor for Property Valuation at Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences. He studied Law at the University of Regensburg and Geography at the University of Hamburg, PhD in 2001 at the University of Hamburg, Habilitation in 2017 at Justus-Liebig-University Giessen on the topic of “Legal Geography”. Professional experience includes: Environmental Research Center Leipzig-Halle and Integrated Expert for land management in Phnom Penh/Cambodia. Since 2018, he acts as Full Professor for Property Valuation at Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences. Professor Thiel researches and teaches national and international property law, real estate valuation, land readjustment, planning law, land policy, and legal geography. Some of his recent projects include land market transparency and the recovery of Aleppo.
