Our University's 2020 online graduation and 2020 "Join the Journey" campaign were awarded during the 2nd Cyprus Advertising Awards ceremony, held on October 20th at the Nicosia Municipal Theatre and we couldn't be prouder

Frederick university received two awards during the 2nd Cyprus Advertising Awards organized by the Cyprus Advertising-Communication Association (SDEK) in collaboration with the Press and Information Office (PIO).
The CAROB Awards 2022 ceremony took place on Thursday, 20th of October at the Nicosia Municipal Theatre, where Frederick University won the Silver Carob Award in the Online Events section of the Events category, for its Online Graduation for the academic year 2019-20.

The graduation took place online in July 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and despite all the challenges, the University managed to turn it into a very special and unforgettable experience for its graduates. The University sent packages of messages and surprises to each one of the graduates before the graduation, actively involved them all through a special platform, collected their photos, recorded messages from the academic staff and graduates, recorded the oath recitations, and shipped a personal message of congratulations to each graduate from the academics of their programs of study immediately after the end of the graduation of each School. The ceremony was greeted by the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nicos Anastasiades and other special guests, and it included a musical part by the acclaimed Cypriot musicians Alexia Vassiliou and Costas Kakogiannis, as well as the internationally renowned baritone Kyros Patsalidis, who sent their own touching messages.

This particular award reflects the University’s student-centric approach, as well as the passion and creativity that characterizes its academic and administrative staff, which offered to its students and their families an unforgettable experience, commensurate with expectations through an online graduation.

Frederick University also won the Bronze Award in the category Advertisement- TV- Education, for its 2020 TV Ad "Join the Journey". The campaign addresses the multiple challenges that our planet and society are facing through statements of the academic staff in the fields of Technology, Education, Engineering, Environment, Arts and Social Sciences, and displays the University's belief that education has an important role to play in developing a sustainable, inclusive and fair world.
