On 24 June 2026, Frederick University was honored to welcome Panos A. Panay, President of The Recording Academy® - the organisation behind the Grammy Awards®, as the keynote speaker at Frederick University's Academic Excellence Award Ceremony.

In his inspiring speech, titled “A Journey of Excellence,” Mr Panay shared his remarkable professional journey, reflecting on the experiences, challenges, and values that shaped his path to becoming President of the Recording Academy.

“Awards open doors, but it is entirely up to you to walk through them,” Mr Panay told our graduates, offering a clear message about ambition, hard work, and taking ownership of one’s future.

His first lesson was simple yet profound: “It starts with you!” Four more valuable lessons followed, inspiring graduates to embrace opportunities, pursue excellence, and create meaningful impact.
