Frederick University's Department of Arts and Communication collaborates with NTB

Frederick University is collaborating with the Nicosia Tourism Board, the Municipality of Nicosia, and the Association of the Nicosia Pedestrian Street Shopkeepers to launch a campaign for the Christmas decoration of store windows within the walls of Nicosia.Under the guidance of Interior Design and Visual Communication students of the Department of Arts and Communication, shopkeepers in Old Nicosia are invited to create innovative and creative Christmas displays. Among these, the top six will be highlighted and awarded.
Procedure
The publication of the Expression of Interest will take place on Monday, 2nd of October, 2023, and interested parties should declare their interest no later than Saturday, October 10, 2023, by attaching the relevant Application form to the email address info@ntb.org.cy.
The action will focus on businesses in the following categories:
A. Food & Beverage
B. Retail
C. Services
Businesses should be located on the following streets: Ledra, Onasagorou, Perikleous, M. Alexandrou, Sokratous, Faneromenis, Eptanisou, Muson, Evripidou, Lykourgou, Arsinis, Aristotelous, Hippokratous, and Kostakis Pantelidis. Altogether, there will be a selection of 15 businesses, with an equal representation of 5 businesses from each category.
The planning and decoration of each business will be undertaken by students from the Interior Design and Visual Communication programs through a lottery process.
Nicosia Tourism Board will grant each student-designer a sum of €550 for expenses related to the creation of each storefront display. The participation declaration from each store implies an acceptance of a contribution towards the decoration of their window display, not less than €330.
