Ms. Esmeralda Agapiou

Short CV

Esmeralda Agapiou is a graduate of the University of Westminster, London, where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Architecture (2006) and Master’s in Architecture (2009). She further progressed to gain her ARB (UK) registration in 2012 from The Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL, and is RIBA, ARB and ETEK accredited. Between 2010–2014, she worked at Squire and Partners, London, as an Architectural Assistant and Project Architect, participating in large scale housing projects for private use but also affordable housing under local council planning law. From 2014–2016, she worked at Pollard Thomas Edwards, where she gained experience in social housing and regeneration projects. In 2016, her professional career took her to Hopkins Architects in Dubai, where she gained significant experience working on large-scale mixed-use projects. From 2021–2023, she taught as Adjunct Faculty at Heriot-Watt University in Dubai, teaching D6GA/D6GB: Architectural Design Studio, D68HI: History and Theory in Architecture, and D69AI: Archaeology of Ideas. In 2024, she continued her academic teaching at Frederick University Cyprus, teaching ARX101/102: Architectural Design and ARX322: Art and Space. Her interests in architecture and academia revolve around design thinking, methodologies of architectural thought, and engaging in problem-solving throughout the conceptual, drafting, and supervision stages. She is also the founder of the architectural and interior design studio Form + Make, focusing on renovation projects, spatial replanning, improvement of existing spaces, and the enhancement of neglected or dysfunctional spaces.

Η Esmeralda Agapiou είναι απόφοιτη του University of Westminster στο Λονδίνο, όπου απέκτησε το Πτυχίο Αρχιτεκτονικής (Bachelor of Arts) το 2006 και το Μεταπτυχιακό Δίπλωμα στην Αρχιτεκτονική (Master’s in Architecture) το 2009. Είναι επίσης ιδρύτρια του αρχιτεκτονικού και γραφείου εσωτερικού σχεδιασμού Form + Make, με έμφαση σε έργα ανακαινίσεων, τον επανασχεδιασμό και την αναδιάταξη χώρων, τη βελτίωση υφιστάμενων χώρων και την αναβάθμιση παραμελημένων ή δυσλειτουργικών χώρων.
