ERASMUS+
Mobility is a Lifestyle
Erasmus+ is a European Program for Education Training, Youth and Sports. The 2021-2027 program places a strong focus on social inclusion, the green and digital transitions, and on promoting young people’s participation in democratic life. It supports priorities and activities set out in the European Education Area, Digital Education Action Plan and the European Skills Agenda. The program also:
- - supports the European Pillar of Social Rights
- - implements the EU Youth Strategy 2021-2027
- - develops the European dimension in sport
Frederick University has been awarded the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education for the whole period of the Erasmus+ Program (2021-2027). Whether you are an undergraduate or postgraduate student, you can participate in the Erasmus+ Program to study abroad in one of the Partner Institutions for one semester or one academic year and/or to be trained abroad from 2 up to 12 months per each cycle of study, regardless of the number and type of the mobility activities.
Recent graduates can also gain their first experience abroad, provided that they submit their participation form during the last year of their studies. They can participate in the program from 2 up to 12 months. In addition, all Erasmus+ student participants have the opportunity to assess their skills in the foreign language(s) they will use to study, work or volunteer abroad and attend an online language course to improve their competence, free of charge.
The countries participating in the Erasmus+ Program are the 28 member-states of the European Union, Norway, Serbia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Turkey and North Macedonia.
The student mobility for studying purposes is based on the mutual recognition of the programs of study from the sending and hosting Institutions. This is achieved through the implementation of the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), which is based on the transparency of the information and methodology and the mutual recognition of the programs of study.
