7. an understanding of the methods of investigation and preparation of the brief for a design project;

Independent Design Thesis: The Independent Design Thesis project is the culmination of the Architectural Studies at Frederick University. It is a synthetic work with a high level expectation of exploratory, analytic and synthetic approach. Independently of the selected topic, the Design Thesis project should lead to a completed and high expectancy result, taking into consideration of all the parameters that constitute an architectural project, that is to say from the functional approach of the composition, to the integration to the environment, the bioclimatic output, the constructional plenitude and possibility, the artistic and aesthetic value etc.
