European Commissioner Stella Kyriakides to address our University community

Frederick University is honored to host the European Union Commissioner for Health and Food Safety, Stella Kyriakides, on October 4th for a speech on the European Health Union, aiming to better protecting the health of EU citizens.

The Commissioner's speech is titled "The Creation of the European Health Union: For Citizens Today and in the Future." During her speech, Ms. Kyriakides will present the priorities and benefits of the European Health Union, as well as the actions being promoted to protect public health in Europe. The European Health Union is a significant step toward strengthening cooperation between member states with the aim to better prepare and respond together to health crises, as well as to improve prevention, treatment and aftercare for diseases.

The event will take place on Friday, October 4th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in the Tassos Papadopoulos Seminar Room, at our University's New Building (1st floor) in Nicosia.

The event is open to all our students and staff and to the general public.
