"Reinventing the mainstream classroom" Conference to be held in Limassol
The "Reinventing the Mainstream Classroom" Conference is the closing event of the European project RE.MA.C. - Reinventing Mainstream Classrooms, coordinated by Frederick University. During the Conference, the results of the program and the innovative practices developed will be presented, aiming to enrich the mainstream classroom in primary education and enhance the linguistic, intercultural, and digital skills of students, regardless of their background, language proficiency, or readiness. Additionally, the project focused on the training of educators and the creation of authentic educational materials and digital tools that utilize the rotational learning model of the program. The seminar aims to highlight the importance of multidimensional literacy development and will host academics from Cyprus and abroad.
Participants will have the opportunity to explore the practical applications, challenges, and innovations of this project in the field of education through a roundtable discussion with key figures from the education sector. Educators who have used the project materials will present examples, providing a valuable opportunity to learn about and discuss the tools and methodology of RE.MA.C.
The roundtable will feature Myria Vassiliou, Nikleia Eteokleous, Stavroula Kontovourki, Panagiotis Kosmas, Maria Mitsiaki, Spyros Sofokleous, Dina Tsangari, Andreas Tsiakkis, Stavroula Tsiplakou, and Pavlina Hadjitheodoulou.
