Professor Andreas Poullikkas, a member of the School of Engineering faculty at Frederick University, has received a new global distinction and ranked among the top scientists worldwide (Highly Ranked Scholar) by the ScholarGPS platform.

Recognizing Prof. Poullikkas’ significant research work and the quality of his scientific output, the international, reputable platform ScholarGPS evaluated and ranked the professor among the top scientists worldwide (Highly Ranked Scholar), placing him in the top 0.05% of researchers in the fields of Sustainable Energy and Renewable Energy.

The ScholarGPS platform evaluates more than 30 million scientists from over 55,000 institutions in more than 200 countries, based on the number of publications and citation indices such as the h-index, offering a unique insight into research excellence both for the overall career and recent performance of each scientist.

Professor Andreas Poullikkas’ distinction concerns the fields of sustainable energy (10th worldwide), renewable energy (47th worldwide), and the energy sector in general (296th worldwide). These distinctions honor both Professor Poullikkas and Frederick University, highlighting the high level of research conducted in Cyprus. The professor has significantly contributed to the development of sustainable energy technologies and the optimization of energy systems and markets.
