Announcement in light of the recent developments in Cyprus and the region
In light of the recent developments in Cyprus and the wider region, Frederick University wishes to assure its community that it is closely monitoring the situation and remains in continuous communication with the relevant state authorities and the University’s Health and Safety Office.
The safety of our community is our absolute priority.
University educational activities in both Nicosia and Limassol continue as normal. Classes are being conducted according to the scheduled timetable.
Understanding the justified concern that the current situation may cause, the University is introducing specific arrangements for the current week (02/03/26 – 06/03/26).
In particular:
• With regard to theoretical courses, absences will not be recorded for students who choose not to attend on campus.
• Obligations related to laboratory courses and clinical/practical training remain in effect, as they constitute an integral part of the educational process.
• In case of absence from mandatory activities, you are requested to contact your Department immediately in order to arrange for the make-up of coursework or practical requirements.
The University remains on alert and will inform you promptly of any new decisions should circumstances change.
